Not just economics

Ultimately, there are many issues that families face today. The solutions range from complex to very complicated. It is no longer that daddy knows best by himself. It’s mom, dad, children, aunts, uncles, friends, and concerned citizens that all must work together to bring improvements to their respective communities.

-retirement

-friendship

-career advancement

-welfare

-housing

-transportation

-etc

These are just very few of the challenges facing the home. Men often will find themselves in situations (varies by communities of course) in which they’re not prepared to lead or handle. Nothing foils the ego more than knowing your spouse and children are better equipped and educated to face an issue that traditionally you’re supposed to handle. A safe zone to learn, practice, ask questions, and get support makes a huge difference.

Having a safe place to give back and help other men improve their game also is very healthy to the ego, confidence, and self esteem. Men’s Ministry!

Without repeating this post way too much, understand this, working together is far better than working alone. Life is hard at times. You have to live your own life yourself. However, you need others to make that living possible. As you continue to read this post, do seriously consider how you can help others improve their own station in life as you do the same for yours. Help your church improve it’s game as it helps you improve your game. Everyone wins. All ships rise. All homes benefit.

  1. '[money] is not a very big qu&o;isne#39t? Yes it is! No writing, no money. That aside, though, I can't imagine why anyone would want to retire. Even if I became suddenly and miraculously wealthy I would carry on writing until I dropped. Isn't retiring throwing in the towel, saying 'OK, I've done life, now I'll wait to die'? Maybe not if you had a job you didn't like, but writing = life. What would I *do* all day if I retired?
